Morgan Parra has been ruled out of France's tour of New Zealand with a thigh injury.
The Clermont Auvergne scrum-half, who suffered the blow at the weekend, will therefore take no part in the tour, which gets underway next month.
"That is stopping him being at 100%, notably in his place kicking," a France spokesman said in a statement.
"Following consultation with the Clermont medical staff and those of the French team, he must pull out of June's tournament in New Zealand."
Jean-Marc Doussain is expected to be called up as a replacement.
