Jonathan Davies: 'British and Irish Lions team is very one dimensional'

Jonathan Davies believes that the omission of Brian O'Driscoll has left the British and Irish Lions "one dimensional".

Former Wales international Jonathan Davies believes that the British and Irish Lions team looks "one dimensional" ahead of the third and final Test against Australia.

Warren Gatland has made six changes to his side for this weekend's encounter, one of which has been the complete omission of Brian O'Driscoll.

"They have stopped the big boys carrying, we haven't had a back line which has functioned very well," Davies told BBC Radio Five Live. "He has put his neck on the block and gone with the players he thinks can do a job for them, which we have seen them do for Wales.

"If he wins the game and the series no one will complain. I do feel it is very, very one dimensional and I am surprised Brian isn't on the bench. It is slightly worrying that we are coming in very one dimensional but that is his job and we all wish them well."

The Lions and Australia head into the decider on one Test apiece.
