Andy Farrell has insisted that the British and Irish Lions are ready for the first game of the tour ahead of Saturday's fixture against the Barbarians.
The Lions meet the Baa-Baas in Hong Kong and after three weeks of intense training, assistant coach Farrell believes that the players are ready for competitive action.
"There will be a few nervous bodies out there, but these boys are the best of the best, you know. They are good Test match arena players and they cope with pressure really well," Farrell said. "We've been training for three weeks now, and we are itching for a game.
"We can sit here and talk about how fantastically well the last three weeks have gone, but there is no doubt about it, you need to get out there - 15 against 15 - make some mistakes and have some footage to work on and get better with.
"That's what rugby is all about, learning to adapt in situations that you can't replicate on a training field."
The Lions will arrive in Perth this Monday ahead of the series with Australia.
