Wigan half-back Blake Green is reportedly expected to be out of action for six weeks with an ankle injury.

Wigan Warriors half-back Blake Green will spend six weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Green was dealt the blow when he was knocked down by a charge from Hull Kingston Rovers forward Cory Paterson during the Challenge Cup clash on Sunday.

Following the challenge, the club have discovered that the stand-off will be out of action for around one month-and-a-half, according to BBC Sport.

Paterson was later charged by the Rugby Football Union with a grade D reckless strike for his challenge.
