Photos emerge online of vandalism at Molineux targeting Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan.

The anger from pockets of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans has spread to Molineux following reports of vandalism at the stadium.

West Midlands Police have launched an investigation after a hoard of fans encroached the pitch at Molineux following Wolves' 2-1 defeat to Burnley, leaving the club three points away from safety with just one game left to play.

During the pitch invasion some fans are thought to have verbally abused players, destroyed advertising boards and attacked at least one steward.

Following on from the unsavoury scenes, photos of abusive messages on the gates of Molineux targeted at chairman Steve Morgan appeared on wolvesforum.co.uk.

One message read, "Steve Morgan you piece of s***, f*** off", while another said, "Steve Morgan is a f***ing thief".

Wolves were relegated from the Premier League around this time last year.
