Police save Victor Wanyama from angry mob

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is rescued from angry fans by police after Kenya fail to qualify for next year's Africa Cup of Nations.

Police had to save Victor Wanyama from a group of angry Kenya fans after the country failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The team lost a two-leg tie with Lesotho 1-0 to ensure that they will not take part in the 2015 tournament in Morocco.

Following the full-time whistle, supporters targeted the Southampton midfielder, but officers stepped in to escort him away from the mob.

Coach Adel Amrouche and his assistants were fired immediately after the match.
