Lee Westwood turns to psychologist

Lee Westwood hopes working with a psychologist will improve his chance of winning his first major.

World number two Lee Westwood hopes that working with psychologist Bob Rotella will help him win his first major title at the US PGA this week.

The 38-year-old has chosen to link up with Rotella following advice from British Open champion Darren Clarke.

"I haven't really worked with a psychologist before so it made sense to consult somebody," said Westwood.

"Darren [Clarke] is a good one to consult with regards to which psychologist would be best, having been through all of them pretty much."

Westwood has also turned to coach Dave Stockton in a bid to improve his putting.
