Darren Clarke has decided to sack caddie John Mulrooney, just six months after the pair won the British Open.
Clarke's form has dipped since that success, culminating in last Friday's failure to reach the cut at the Abu Dhabi Championship by seven shots.
A short statement from Clarke revealed that the split was amicable.
Mulrooney was appointed by Clarke prior to last year's Mallorca Open, a tournament that the Irishman emerged victorious from.
