Craig Eastmond "very close" to Yeovil Town switch

Former Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond closes in on a move to League One strugglers Yeovil Town.

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has confirmed that the club are "very close" to securing the services of Craig Eastmond.

The former Arsenal midfielder has been a free agent since he was released by Colchester United earlier this month.

However, having impressed Skiverton during a short trial period at Huish Park, the 24-year-old is now on the verge of agreeing to terms that are expected to run until the end of the season.

"He's very close to agreeing something. He will bring that added experience," the Western Daily Press quotes the Yeovil boss as saying.

Eastmond made a total of 10 senior appearances, four of which came in the Premier League, during his stint with the Gunners.
