Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Hamburger SV defender Mario Vuskovic.
Despite head coach Bruno Lage wishing to strengthen his first-team squad this summer, Wolves are yet to make a first-team addition during the current window.
The future of Ruben Neves remains up in the air, while the West Midlands outfit have lost out to Fulham in the race to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha.
However, Wolves are still expected to eventually make fresh additions, and it appears that they have cast their eye to the second tier of German football.
According to Hamburger Morgenpost, the Premier League club have been speaking with the representative of Vuskovic in recent days.

Hamburger are currently preparing for another year in 2. Bundesliga having lost out to Hertha Berlin in the promotion playoff in May.
However, Vuskovic played his part in Hamburger possessing the best defensive record in the division, conceding seven goals fewer than any other side.
Hamburger have just finalised the permanent signing of Vuskovic after his initial season-long loan deal, the player penning a contract which runs until 2025.
Nevertheless, it appears that the Croatia Under-21 international is attracting strong interest from Wolves who could be ready to meet his valuation.

The report claims that Vuskovic is available for a fee in the region of €10m (£8.6m) and Wolves will now decide whether to press forward with a deal.
Lage is currently a defender light in comparison to last season with Romain Saiss having left on a free transfer to sign for Besiktas.
A move for Vuskovic fits the criteria of owners Fosun International, who have shown a preference for signing younger players who possess the potential to be sold for a bigger fee in future years.
However, chairman Jeff Shi has recently reiterated that he wants Wolves to become self-sufficient, and failing to generate funds from the sales of either Neves or Adama Traore has seemingly held up the club's transfer business.
Wolves begin the upcoming Premier League campaign with a fixture against Leeds United at Elland Road on August 6.
