Kenny Jackett: 'Bjorn Sigurdarson, Georg Margreitter can leave'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett reveals that Bjorn Sigurdarson and Georg Margreitter do not feature in his plans for the upcoming season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that both Bjorn Sigurdarson and Georg Margreitter are free to leave Molineux before the end of the transfer window.

The duo, who were both signed by Stale Solbakken in 2012, did not feature last season, and Jackett has admitted that they will not be a part of the first-team squad during the upcoming campaign.

The 53-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "They're not part of my plans. Bjorn had a back operation three weeks ago and he now starts a period of six weeks' rehab.

"Georg is fully fit, has trained well and hard. Centre-back is a position that we're strong in and we have good young centre-backs as well, so it's unlikely that he's going to get in, but he's trained well.

"Georg is ready for his next club and his next challenge and that's what he's looking for."

Sigurdarson has scored just seven goals in 60 appearances for Wolves, while Margreitter will depart the Championship outfit having played just three times in all competitions.
