Kenny Jackett "open minded" about Bjorn Sigurdarson return

Kenny Jackett challenges Bjorn Sigurdarson to make the most of his second chance at Wolves as the striker prepares to return to Molineux following a loan spell in Norway.

Kenny Jackett is willing to give Bjorn Sigurdarson a second chance to prove himself at Wolverhampton Wanderers, if the striker puts the work in at his end.

The 23-year-old moved to Molineux in 2012 on a four-year contract and only scored five goals in his debut season as Wolves were relegated to League One.

He has spent the last year at Norwegian side Molde on a loan deal which is due to expire in the New Year, and Jackett has challenged the Icelander to apply himself and show that he can make it in English football.

"He's due back but there has been no talk between the two clubs whether that's going to be a permanent move," he told reporters.

"I'll stay open-minded on him definitely because he certainly has the size and athleticism you're always looking for. But a lot will depend on Bjorn's attitude, determination and focus and what he wants to do. Does he want to make it in English football, because he's contracted to Wolves?

"He's a young man and every season you can re-assess and go again. It's whether he wants to give it another go and says 'right, I can see it now and want a fresh chance', so we'll see."

Sigurdarson has scored three goals in 15 appearances for Molde since joining in January 2014.
