Wolverhampton Wanderers set away attendance record

Wolves will set a new record for the biggest away attendance in a league match at Stadium MK at the end of the month when the team travel to MK Dons.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will set a record for the biggest away attendance in a league match at Stadium MK on March 29 when the team travels to MK Dons in League One.

Wolves were handed an initial allocation of 6,500 tickets for the game before seeing that increased to 8,800.

The previous best for an away following at the ground came earlier this season when 7,000 Coventry City fans made the trip to Milton Keynes.

The decision to boost Wolves's ticket allocation comes after a social media campaign to get 10,000 away supporters to the game.
