Carl Ikeme targeting Easter return

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme reveals that he is targeting a return from a broken metatarsal at Easter.

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has insisted that he won't rush a return from a broken metatarsal, despite targeting a comeback at Easter.

Ikeme has made good progress since suffering the injury at the start of February, but the Molineux stopper has admitted that he must remain cautious during the final weeks of his rehabilitation.

The 28-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "Probably three weeks is a realistic target. If it's before then that would be brilliant, but I don't want to rush things, I want to make sure I'm right when I come back.

"I feel really good though but at the same time I have to be cautious. It would be brilliant if I could get back and be involved again to hopefully get in the playoffs."

Ikeme has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season, with understudy Tomasz Kuszczak featuring in eight games during his absence.
