Cambuur are still searching for their first win of the season as the relegation-threatened side slumped to a heavy defeat away to Willem II.

The Tilburg outfit were ahead inside 12 minutes after Stijn Wuytens teed up Guus Joppen, whose effort proved too good for Harm Zeinstra.

Cambuur almost equalised 10 minutes into the second half when Furdjel Narsingh's shot deflected harmlessly wide of Kostas Lamprou's goal, but the visitors were unable to create any pressure from the resulting corner.

However, Willem II doubled their advantage with 10 minutes left as Wuytens set up Erik Falkenburg to score his eighth of the season.

Wuytens then got on the scoresheet himself with a neatly-taken free kick, which Zeinstra was unable to stop.

Willem II's victory sees them move above Roda JC, while Cambuur remain second from bottom.
