Memphis Depay double sees PSV Eindhoven beat Willem II

Two goals from Memphis Depay help PSV Eindhoven beat Willem II 3-1 on the opening weekend of the Eredivisie season.

PSV Eindhoven have eased past Willem II 3-1 to get their Eredivisie campaign off to a winning start.

The visitors made the breakthrough with nine minutes played when Jurgen Locadia found the net following an error from opposition goalkeeper Kostas Lamprou.

PSV's joy increased just three minutes later as Memphis Depay capped a fine run by firing low into the bottom corner.

Willem managed to reduce the deficit five minutes before the break thanks to Bruno Andrade's smart turn and finish inside the penalty area.

However, the away side sealed the points with 15 minutes remaining through a penalty from Depay after Willem shot-stopper Lamprou was sent off for bringing down Georginio Wijnaldum.
