Roberto Martinez has hailed League One club Bournemouth for pushing his Wigan Athletic side all the way in their FA Cup third-round tie.
The Cherries earned a 1-1 draw with Wigan to force them into a replay, which the Latics edged 1-0 on Tuesday, thanks to a Mauro Boselli strike.
Speaking after the match, the Wigan manager praised his side's professionalism but also applauded the effort of Eddie Howe's Bournemouth outfit.
Martinez said: "I must admit Bournemouth deserve huge, huge credit over the two games in the manner they play football and I think it is going to bring real success to this football club.
"We knew that we had nothing to win today and had to be very professional; really, really strong and I couldn't be more proud of my players."
Wigan travel to lower-league opposition again in round four when they face Macclesfield Town.
