West Ham United sign Marco Borriello from Roma

West Ham United secure the loan signing of Italy international Marco Borriello from Roma until the end of the season.

West Ham United have signed Italy international striker Marco Borriello on loan from Roma.

The 31-year-old, who has spent the past decade in Serie A, has been capped by the Azzurri seven times and will join up with Sam Allardyce's outfit until the end of the season, according to West Ham's official website.

He is expected to make his Hammers debut in Wednesday's Premier League game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Borriello is the second Upton Park signing from Italy today, after the East London outfit signed Antonio Nocerino on loan from AC Milan.
