Report: West Ham United target Fenerbahce's Raul Meireles

West Ham United will hold talks with Fenerbahce midfielder Raul Meireles, according to a report.

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Raul Meireles from Fenerbahce this month.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League club will hold talks with the former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielder, who is said to be keen on returning to England.

Sam Allardyce has also been given the option to sign Antonio Nocerino from AC Milan, but Meireles's experience of playing in the English top flight has convinced the Hammers manager to make an approach for the 30-year-old Portugal international.

Meireles joined Fenerbahce from Chelsea in September 2012.
