Stoke City reportedly replace West Ham United as the favourites to sign Poland left-back Sebastian Boenisch.

Stoke City are reportedly on the verge of signing Poland left-back Sebastian Boenisch.

The 25-year-old, who is a free agent following his release from Werder Bremen, had held talks with West Ham United last month.

Boenisch has not yet rejected the Hammers' offer but the player is now discussing personal terms at the Britannia Stadium and a move to the Potters is imminent, according to The Mirror.

Boenisch has been capped nine times at senior international level.
