West Ham United end their five-game winless run thanks to a Ricardo Vaz Te header and Gary O'Neil at London Road.

Second-half goals from Gary O'Neil and Ricardo Vaz Te helped West Ham United end a run of five consecutive draws with a 2-0 victory over Peterborough United at London Road this evening.

Sam Allardyce's Hammers dominated the first half but were unable to make it count as Matthew Taylor squandered two good chances and Paul Jones made a good save to deny Vaz Te.

The on-loan Exeter City keeper was helplessly beaten six minutes into the second half though, as Taylor's deep cross was powerfully headed home by Vaz Te.

O'Neil put the contest to bed six minutes later with a long-range effort.

The former Middlesbrough captain collected the ball just inside the Posh half, ran forward unopposed and curled an unstoppable 25-yard shot just inside the left-hand post.

West Ham have now won 11 games away from home this season and equalled a club record.
