Chris Baird undergoes West Bromwich Albion medical

Free agent Chris Baird reportedly travels to West Bromwich Albion for a medical.

Chris Baird has reportedly undergone a medical at West Bromwich Albion.

The 32-year-old had been a free agent for a short periodfollowing his release at the end of last season by Burnley.

However, the Northern Ireland international has moved a step closer to securing his future by travelling to the Black Country for discussions over personal terms and a medical, according to Sky Sports News.

Should the deal go through, Baird will become manager Alan Irvine's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Joleon Lescott.
