Abou Diaby is undergoing a medical at West Bromwich Albion ahead of completing a short-term switch to The Hawthorns, according to a report.
The former Arsenal midfielder is thought to have agreed a pay-as-you-play deal with the Baggies, following successful talks on Thursday afternoon.
It is suggested by BBC Sport that Diaby, who was released by the Gunners this summer after spending nine injury-plagued years with the club, is being examined by West Brom's medical officers.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is also said to be close to completing deals for Rickie Lambert, Matt Phillips and Ciaran Clark.
