Werder Bremen want to re-sign Miroslav Klose from Lazio

Viktor Skripnik, coach of Bundesliga strugglers Werder Bremen, says that he wants to re-sign World Cup record goalscorer and former Bremen player Miroslav Klose.

Werder Bremen coach Viktor Skripnik has said that his club would definitely sign World Cup record scorer Miroslav Klose if they were given the opportunity.

Klose played at Werder from 2004 to 2007, signing the season after they became Bundesliga champions. He scored 53 goals in 89 matches, before joining Bayern Munich and then moving to Italy in 2011.

Skripnik told Reuters: "It would be a dream. If everything fits why would we ever say no, that is if Klose is still fit and he also has the will to come to Bremen. He is a super forward with huge experience. My boys can only profit from that."

Klose, 36, has been used mostly as a substitute at Lazio this season and is out of contract in the summer.

Bremen have been struggling this season and are in 16th place in the Bundesliga, which resumes on January 30.
