Watford are keeping their eye on Omar Colley as the January transfer window approaches, according to a report.
The 29-year-old defender currently plays for Sampdoria and has featured in 16 Serie A games this season, missing just one fixture.
Colley has gained interest from Claudio Ranieri as the experienced manager would like to bolster his defensive options for the second half of the season.
According to a report by Tuttomercatoweb, the Hornets are looking at Colley as a potential transfer target, with the leadership at the club working on this.
However, the Gambian international is signed with the Italian outfit until 2025, having joined them in 2018 from Genk.
Watford have conceded 31 goals so far in the Premier League, which is the third-worst defensive record this season, with only Norwich City and Newcastle United suffering more.
