Matej Vydra and Almen Abdi score for Watford as they come from a goal down to win 2-1 against Bolton Wanderers at home.

Watford have come from behind to defeat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 at Vicarage Road in the Championship.

Chances were few and far between in the first half, as the two sides failed to assert their supremacy on the game.

Darren Pratley tried to make the breakthrough for Bolton in the fifth minute when he took a shot from just outside the Watford box, but saw his effort go over the Bolton crossbar.

Five minutes later Manuel Almunia kept out a cross from Lee Chung-Yong and at the other end Adam Bogdan denied Troy Deeney.

Cristian Battocchio went close for Watford just before the half-hour mark, but failed to hit the target with a shot taken from just outside the area.

However, Watford were soon 1-0 down thanks to a penalty from Marvin Sordell in the 32th minute.

Daniel Pudil's challenge on Samuel Ricketts inside the area saw the referee point to the spot, from where Sordell made no mistake in putting Bolton in the lead.

The Trotters' lead lasted for just four minutes, as Matej Vydra latched on to Almen Abdi's pass inside the area to restore parity for Watford.

Abdi himself scored the winning goal for Watford 20 minutes from time, firing home from close range after being set up by Vydra.
