Andrea Mandorlini rues defensive mistakes

Hellas Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini says that his team "paid dearly" for defensive mistakes made during their 3-1 defeat against Torino.

Hellas Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini has said that his team "paid dearly" for defensive mistakes made during their 3-1 defeat against Torino on Monday evening.

The Gialloblu took the lead through Luca Toni's first-half penalty, but goals after the break from Ciro Immobile, Alessio Cerci and Omar El Kaddouri ensured a victory for the away side.

"I have nothing to say to the team. There are no words," he told reporters. "There is sorrow when you lose games like that, moreover games last 90 minutes and even longer.

"We did not run into danger during the first half, but then we conceded three goals in a few minutes [in the second half].

"We have paid dearly for the errors. The team has not risked anything at first. It was not our evening, even as in the first half we playing some important passages."

Verona are currently eighth in the Serie A table.
