Las Vegas Lights owner and CEO Brett Lashbrook reveals that he wants to sign the world's fastest man Usain Bolt.

Las Vegas Lights owner and CEO Brett Lashbrook has revealed that he wants to sign Usain Bolt.

The world's fastest man began training with Stromsgodset towards the end of May before playing for the Norwegian club as he bids to forge a career as a professional footballer following his retirement from athletics.

The 31-year-old, who has also spent time with German giants Borussia Dortmund, has previously not been shy in revealing his desire to one day represent Manchester United.

Australian side Central Coast Mariners are the latest club to be linked with the Jamaican, but Las Vegas Lights are also in the mix.

"Of course we have an interest in Usain Bolt. Why wouldn't we?" ESPN quotes Lashbrook as saying. "He's the world's fastest guy and he's trained at some of the best clubs in the world. To come play Division 2 soccer in the US actually makes all the sense in the world.

"This guy is an absolute specimen of an athlete and we think he could absolutely succeed at the USL level. Any coach in any sport who says they wouldn't like the opportunity to work with the world's fastest man at his prime would just be flat out lying to you."

Las Vegas Lights - who were only formed in 2017 - play their football in the United Soccer League. Former United States wonderkid Freddy Adu currently turns out for the club.
