Transfer news and rumours: West Ham want Clarke, Sessegnon, Coventry chase international
West Ham United are reportedly preparing to make an official approach for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke.
Since the arrival of Julen Lopetegui, the Hammers have already added Brazilian starlet Luis Guilherme to their ranks, the teenager expected to immediately challenge for a first-team role.
However, it is highly unlikely that he will make regular starts, forcing West Ham to look elsewhere as they bid to bounce back from a poor 2023-24.
According to Football Insider, the East London outfit have a 'concrete' interest in acquiring the services of Black Cats wideman Clarke.
Arsenal 'make big academy decision' which could impact transfer plans
Arsenal have reportedly decided to prioritise the acceleration of academy graduates into the first team over major signings this summer.
After a tricky start in charge of the Gunners for Mikel Arteta, the former midfielder has managed to turn his side into one who are regularly challenging for the Premier League title.
Unfortunately, the last two seasons of challenging have led to back-to-back second-placed finishes, both times ending up behind Manchester City.
Arsenal managed to take the 2023-24 title race to the final day, and despite beating Everton 2-1 at the Emirates, a victory for the Citizens versus West Ham United resulted in the Premier League trophy being lifted on the blue side of Manchester.
De Bruyne one of four star Man City players who 'could leave' this summer
Manchester City could reportedly be set to lose four first-team stars this summer, including midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Following his switch from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg to the blue side of Manchester in August 2015, there were serious questions of whether the Belgian could make the step up to the English game.
After 382 competitive games for Man City - coupled with 102 goals - it is not an overstatement to say that De Bruyne has established himself as a Premier League legend.
Due to a five-month layoff following a hamstring injury during 2023-24, the 32-year-old only managed 18 appearances in the league for Pep Guardiola's troops.
Transfer rumours: Abraham to Aston Villa, Gross to Dortmund, Thorsteinsson to Newcastle
Aston Villa are reportedly weighing up a reunion with Roma striker Tammy Abraham this summer.
The 26-year-old spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa Park from Chelsea, scoring 26 goals in 40 appearances to help the Lions secure promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
Abraham then completed a permanent transfer to Roma in 2021 and has since chipped in with 37 goals and 13 assists in 119 appearances across all competitions, although he was reduced to just 12 outings last season due to a serious knee injury.
According to Football Insider, Abraham "ticks a lot of boxes" for Aston Villa, who are considering bringing the English striker back to Villa Park.
Arsenal to raise £80m from wantaway trio?
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to sell a trio of wantaway talents in order to fuel major incomings this summer.
The Gunners splashed the cash during last summer's transfer window as they looked to close the gap on Manchester City in the race for Premier League supremacy.
Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber all arrived at the Emirates at a combined total of £200m, helping Mikel Arteta's men move to the next level and compete in the Champions League.
That being said, Arsenal were still unable to pip Pep Guardiola's troops to the English crown, with the Citizens winning the league title by two points in the end.
Hummels 'closing in' on transfer to La Liga club
Mats Hummels is seemingly closing in on a transfer to a La Liga club after his exit from Borussia Dortmund.
The 35-year-old has spent his entire career competing in his homeland, the German either representing Dortmund or Bayern Munich.
A total of five Bundesliga titles and three DFB-Pokals have been won since 2010-11, but the veteran will now take a different path.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the centre-back would be departing the Westfalenstadion at the end of his contract, which expires on June 30.
Spurs 'name' asking price for defender wanted by three PL clubs
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly changed their stance over the asking price of defender Joe Rodon.
The Wales international has just spent the season on loan at Leeds United, establishing himself as a regular starter at Elland Road.
However, with the Yorkshire giants having missed out on promotion to the Premier League through losing the Championship playoff final, there is less chance of a permanent move being completed.
That leaves the 26-year-old in a position where he will return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to await developments over his next move.
