Tranmere Rovers have returned to the top of the league one table following a win at Hartlepool United.
Both sides had chances in the first half but neither found the back of the net.
The league's bottom side looked like taking a vital home point before Peter Hartley gave away a penalty with just over 10 minutes to play.
Andy Robinson took the spot kick to give Tranmere the lead, with Cole Stockton adding a second deep into stoppage time.
The win restores Tranmere's two-point advantage over Sheffield United and Stevenage, while Hartlepool remain four points adrift at the bottom.
