Torino see off 10-man Parma

Torino reignite their challenge for a place in Europe by beating struggling Parma 2-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Torino bounced back from consecutive defeats in Serie A to claim a 2-0 win over Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini this evening.

Maxi Lopez gave the visitors the lead when he burst through on goal and kept his composure to squeeze a low strike past the keeper from a tight angle.

It got even worse for Parma in the 36th minute as Alessandro Lucarelli was sent off for arguing with the referee, just moments after he had been booked for a foul on Fabio Quagliarella.

On the hour mark the hosts came within inches of drawing level, but Ishak Belfodil crashed his strike against the post.

Torino soon made their opponents pay for that miss, as Migjen Basha arrived at the back post to head in Cristian Molinaro's cross and wrap up the three points.
