Swansea City defender Angel Rangel has penned a new three-year contract with the club to remain a Swans player until 2016.
The Spaniard was a pivotal member of the squad that won the Capital One Cup last month in Michael Laudrup's side's 5-0 victory over Bradford at Wembley.
"It shows how well things are going here that so many of the squad have signed new contracts," Rangel told the club's official website.
"The club realises the players are doing a great job and the board and chairman are rewarding us for that.
"We are getting better and better as a club again this season and everyone here is keen to play their part in helping Swansea City grow."
Swansea are currently eighth in the Premier League.
