Garry Monk: Wilfried Bony exit would require "astronomical" bid

Swansea City boss Garry Monk insists that it would take an "astronomical" bid to tempt the club to sell striker Wilfried Bony.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has insisted that striker Wilfried Bony will not be allowed to leave the club for anything other than an "astronomical" offer.

Bony was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during the summer after scoring 25 goals in his first season at the Liberty Stadium, but the Ivorian has since signed a one-year contract extension in South Wales.

Despite penning a new deal until 2018, Bony continues to attract interest from other clubs, but ahead of the club's game with Queens Park Rangers, Monk has told reporters that only a huge bid would be enough to tempt the Swans to part ways with the 25-year-old.

Bony has netted six goals in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
