Swansea City boss Garry Monk has admitted that long-serving midfielder Leon Britton could leave the club this summer.
The 32-year-old struggled for first-team opportunities last season, playing nine times for the Swans due to injury.
Britton has made over 400 appearances for the club over two separate spells.
Having fallen down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium over the past year, Monk concedes that Britton may move on in order to get more playing time.
"He still wants to play 30 or 40 games a season but I have said to him that, realistically, he is not going to do that here now," Monk is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"He is still a big part of our squad and I love having him about – he can still contribute. But in his mind he needs to go and see if he can play those 30 or 40 games."
Swansea will start the new Premier League season away to champions Chelsea on August 8.
