Leon Britton has revealed that his 11-year association with Swansea City could be coming to an end due to the lack of first-team football on offer.
The midfielder has opened up about recent talks with manager Garry Monk, who spoke frankly to him about the desire to bring through young talent like Jay Fulton and Matt Grimes.
The inclusion of the youngsters next season would result in Britton having limited minutes on the pitch, which has prompted the 32-year-old to consider his future.
Britton told the South Wales Evening Post: "I said to the manager that I can't do another season not playing.
"I have two years left on my contract, but I am 32 and I don't want to be not playing at this age, so I have said to the manager that I will look at my options."
Overall, Britton has made almost 500 appearances for the Welsh outfit.
