Jack Colback 'nearing West Ham United switch'

West Ham United are said to have become the frontrunners to sign Jack Colback.

West Ham United are said to be the frontrunners to sign Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the Stadium of Light, having failed to agree a new deal with the Black Cats.

Swansea City were previously linked with Colback, but the Hammers are on course to beat them to his signature, according to The Mirror.

Colback, who made 42 appearances for the Black Cats last season, has spent his entire career at Sunderland, but completed two loan stints at Ipswich Town.
