John O'Shea happy with Danny Graham contribution

Sunderland captain John O'Shea praises the attitude shown by Danny Graham since he returned to the club from a loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Sunderland captain John O'Shea has praised the contribution made by Danny Graham since he returned to the club from his loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The striker has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team since arriving at the Stadium of Light two years ago, being shipped out on loan to Hull City, Middlesbrough and Wolves.

However, he has been in decent form during his four substitute appearances since his stint at Molineux ended, and O'Shea is impressed with the attitude shown by the 29-year-old.

"His attitude has been exemplary and he is a fantastic lad in the dressing room," he told SAFSee.

"He is putting the manager under a lot of pressure to start in the team and that's what we need from everybody. If we can do that, the competition increases and hopefully you get better performances."

Graham enjoyed a 15-minute cameo during Sunderland's 3-1 FA Cup victory over Fulham on Tuesday, winning the stoppage-time penalty that sealed the Black Cats' progress into the fifth round.
