Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has warned his players against complacency following their 3-0 home victory over Reading in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Goals from James McClean, Steven Fletcher and Stephane Sessegnon saw the Black Cats pick up maximum points at the Stadium of Light and climb out of the relegation zone.
"We move up a couple of places which is pleasing, but the points are the main thing," BBC Sport quotes O'Neill as saying.
"We are far from out of trouble though. It is going to be tight for a long time.
"Until you got the requisite number of points we are going to be in a scrap with a lot of teams involved."
Sunderland are now 15th in the league standings with 16 points from as many matches, just a point above the relegation zone.
