Paolo Di Canio reportedly wants Sunderland to appoint Inter Milan's scout Valentino Angeloni.

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio is reportedly keen to add Inter Milan scout Valentino Angeloni to his set-up at the Stadium of Light.

The Italian, who has been open about his desire to strengthen the Black Cats squad this summer, has been looking to replace the recently-departed Bryan Robson.

It is understood that Di Canio is eager to implement a new scouting system with Angeloni at the helm, according to ITV Sport.

Angeloni has been part of Inter's scouting team since March last year.
