St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark will be out for "weeks rather than months" after initial fears over his hamstring injury were allayed.
The 26-year-old – who has kept a club-record 15 clean sheets this season – suffered the injury in training on Friday and was replaced by Cammy Bell for Saturday's goalless draw with Rangers.
Manager Tommy Wright told the club's official website: "Fortunately it seems the injury isn't as bad as we first feared.
"The scan has shown some damage but importantly there is no tear to Zander's tendon.
"The hamstring and tendon are stretched but the fact that there is no tear there means we can hopefully have Zander back to full fitness in a matter of weeks rather than months."
