Aston Villa are reportedly on the verge of re-signing Jaden Philogene from Championship club Hull City.
The 22-year-old attacker came through Villa's academy, but after making just six senior appearances, he eventually secured a permanent move to Hull last summer.
Philogene was a standout performer for the Tigers in 2023-24, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in 32 second-tier appearances, and he has since been linked with a number of Premier League clubs.
Indeed, newly-promoted Ipswich Town have been strongly linked with the youngster, while the likes of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and even La Liga giants Barcelona have also been credited with an interest.
However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Philogene is set to re-join Aston Villa in a deal worth £13m, with the Lions able to agree a cut-price fee due to the 30% sell-on clause included in their initial agreement with Hull.
Philogene is due to undergo a medical and sign his contract on Monday before Villa officially announce their new signing.

Wolves identify Ahmedhodzic as Kilman replacement
Staying in the West Midlands and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly leading the race to sign Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodzic.
The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons at Bramall Lane, making 72 appearances in all competitions and chipping in with nine goals, but the centre-back is now facing an uncertain future at the club following their relegation to the Championship.
According to The Sun, Ahmedhodzic is keen to join a club in the Premier League and Wolves are said to have identified the Bosnia-Herzegovina international as a summer transfer target.
The report adds that Sheffield United value Ahmedhodzic at around £20m, the same price quoted to Serie A duo Napoli and Atalanta BC when they both expressed an interest in January, but the Blades may have to settle for less this summer.
Wolves are on the lookout for a new central defender following the £40m departure of club captain Max Kilman to West Ham United earlier this month.

Pepe rejects Vasco da Gama offer
Elsewhere, Portuguese veteran Pepe has reportedly turned down an offer to join Brazilian club Vasco de Gama.
The 41-year-old defender, who recently represented Portugal at Euro 2024, is currently a free agent after leaving Porto upon the expiration of his contract.
According to Globoesporte, via O Jogo, Vasco da Gama president Pedrinho has revealed that the club were unsuccessful in their attempt to sign a 'renowned' centre-back.
The report states that Pepe was the defender in question, but the Brasileiro outfit received a "no" answer after contacting the ex-Real Madrid man.
It is understood that one of Pepe's reasons why he turned down the offer was due to his fears of violence in Brazilian football.
