Tottenham Hotspur join Mario Suarez race?

A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Mario Suarez from Atletico Madrid this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez this summer.

The Spanish international made 34 appearances for Atletico last season, but was not always included for the so-called bigger matches.

Inter have been strongly linked with a move for the 28-year-old, but according to Inside Spanish Football, Spurs are also keen on signing the midfielder, who re-joined Atletico from Mallorca in the summer of 2010.

Suarez, who started his professional career with Atletico before moving on to Real Valladolid, has made 184 appearances for his current club.
