Scott Parker is expected to undergo a medical with Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday after the Championship side agreed a £3.5m fee with Tottenham Hotspur.
Etienne Capoue's imminent arrival from Toulouse would leave Parker way down the midfield pecking order at White Hart Lane, with Brazilian Paulinho having already been signed this summer.
The Lillywhites are willing to let the 32-year-old, one of their highest earners, leave, and after having seen a bid rejected for the England international last week, QPR have now reportedly met Tottenham's valuation. and Parker could link up with his former manager at Spurs, Harry Redknapp, within the next 48 hours.
Redknapp told the Daily Telegraph: "We're hopeful of getting Scotty signed soon. He's a great lad and will be a really good signing for us."
Parker has made 63 appearances for Tottenham since joining from their London rivals West Ham United for £6m in 2011.
