Tottenham Hotspur complete £8.6m signing of Etienne Capoue?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly completed the signing of Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue.

The North London outfit have been heavily linked with the France international, who held talks with Premier League new boys Cardiff City in July.

Despite the Welsh club's interest, it is understood that Spurs have swooped in with a successful £8.6m bid, with only a medical standing in the way of Capoue becoming a new addition to White Hart Lane, according to the Daily Mail.

The defensive midfielder, who can also play in central defence, netted seven goals in 34 league appearances last season.
