Cardiff City confirm Etienne Capoue talks

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has confirmed that the club are preparing for talks with Etienne Capoue ahead of a potential transfer this summer.

The Bluebirds have agreed a fee of just under £10m for the player with Toulouse who has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Everton in the past.

"Ourselves and Toulouse have come to an agreement," Mackay told reporters. "We've got to then have the conversation with Etienne and his advisors, they've been very professional in terms of what they're talking about as well.

"We've been in constant dialogue with them in the last week and Toulouse have been excellent to deal with.

"It's pretty delicate at the moment. We're in discussions and negotiations but it's something that's ongoing."

Capoue has been at Toulouse his whole career, making 112 appearances and scoring 12 goals.
