Mauricio Pochettino expecting quiet January

Mauricio Pochettino hints at a quiet January transfer window by revealing that he is happy with his Tottenham Hotspur squad.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that he might not be active in the January transfer window.

After enduring a mixed start at White Hart Lane this season, Pochettino has steadied the ship in recent weeks as Spurs have won four of their last six Premier League games.

The Lilywhites will welcome Seattle Sounders ace DeAndre Yedlin - who signed in the summer - to the club next month, and the Argentine says that the MLS starlet may represent his last bit of business this winter.

Asked if he had discussed next month's transfer strategy with chairman Daniel Levy, Pochettino told the Daily Mail: "We have a lot of chats and have I told him all my thoughts.

"We have common sense, when the window opens in January we will start to decide but so far we are very happy with our squad.

"I am happy, it's not about if you sign or not. I'm happy here and I'm happy with our squad. I never put pressure [on the chairman]."

Tottenham sit seventh in the table, two points adrift of fourth-placed West Ham United ahead of Friday's trip to struggling Leicester City.
