Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly likely to appoint Ryan Mason as their interim head coach until Christmas, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly expected to replace head coach Nuno Espirito Santo with Ryan Mason on an interim basis.

Despite a strong start in the Premier League, Nuno's side currently sit with 15 points from 10 matches, their fifth defeat coming against Manchester United at the weekend.

While the North Londoners are only two points adrift of fifth position, supporters have been left frustrated with just nine goals coming during that period.

According to Football Insider, lengthy discussions were held between Nuno and chairman Daniel Levy throughout Sunday.

With no positive resolution found, the report claims that the Portuguese will be relieved of his duties over the coming days.

Mason, who is seemingly in line to take charge until Christmas, posted four wins and three defeats from his seven games in the same role last season.
