Rafael van der Vaart confident he'll face Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart believes that he will be fit enough to face Arsenal this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart believes that he will be fit to face Arsenal this weekend.

The Dutch international has missed Spurs' last few matches because of a muscular injury in his leg.

However, he is confident that the problem will have subsided in time for Sunday's trip to the Emirates Stadium.

"I'm recovering well from my injury," Van der Vaart told his official website. "I expect to be joining the team training on Wednesday after which I will start to focus on the match against Arsenal.

"I'll be happy to play Arsenal. I can't wait."

Van der Vaart found the net during the reverse fixture in October.
