Mauricio Pochettino upbeat over Chelsea rout

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino says that his players should not be too hard on themselves after the 3-0 defeat to high-flying Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his Tottenham Hotspur team can take some positives from their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Goals from Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy at Stamford Bridge helped the high-flying Blues remain six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Spurs fashioned chances themselves early on but Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane failed to convert them, but Pochettino says that he saw plenty of reasons to be cheerful from the result.

"I am very positive. We are a team in a good way at the moment and our performance today was proof of that," the Argentine manager told Sky Sports News.

"We are not happy with the result but we take plenty of positives away."

Tottenham sit 10th in the standings, five points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United.
