Hugo Lloris praises Tottenham Hotspur defence

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris praises his side's defensive strengths following their 1-0 win over Cardiff City.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has praised his side's defensive strengths following their 1-0 win over Cardiff City this weekend.

The Lilywhites kept their 12th clean sheet in the Premier League this season, as they strengthened their grip on fifth place in the table.

"It's always important to keep strong at the back," he told the club's official website.

"It helps us to get points on the board because when you don't concede a goal you just need to score one and we did that today.

"It was not easy and we didn't put on a great performance, but we got three points and that's the main thing."

Spurs are next in action when they visit Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
